Prof. Bainbridge:
I have the distinct impression that the Democratic Party sees the liberal blogosphere as being inside the tent, while the Republican Party views the conservative blogosphere as being somewhere between an irrelevance and a minor nuisance.
Bainbridge seems to think that this has been good for the Dems... showing the same brilliant reasoning that led the Dems to think that getting David Brock to switch sides would be good for them.

Bainbridge may have the worst case of Prejudging Miers Syndrome out there...he's hoping for a filibuster and he's ready to forgive Trent Lott just because he's hinting that he might not support the nomination? Pathetic.

And this is based on...? OK, so you don't have to accept Beldar's arguments or David Garrow's
Historically speaking, then, no one can argue that Miers is unqualified, or even underqualified, to be a Supreme Court justice.
Fine...say there isn't enough evidence out there to say she has the chops for SCOTUS. There are going to be hearings, remember? Can we wait to call for the filibuster until after the Judiciary Committee meets?

Bainbridge asks:
... all of this raises the question of how those of us in the conservative blogosphere can elevate ourselves into the category of genuine problem as opposed to mere nuisances. I'm open to suggestions.
Just keep it up if your goal is to "elevate" yourself to the level of discourse set by the Deaniacs and the Kossites. Or you might take a deep breath think about what it would take to be part of the solution instead.
